MANDEVILLE, Louisiana — A man's body has been pulled from Lake Pontchartrain near Bayou Lacombe.

The St. Tammany Parish Coroner, Dr. Charles Preston, identified the victim as 28-year-old Darryl Davis Jr., of Foley, Alabama. An autopsy will be performed Monday.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office (http://bit.ly/1Iw000K ) tells WDSU-TV the discovery was made just before 8 a.m. Sunday a few miles south of Bayou Lacombe.

Since Thursday, the sheriff's office has been assisting in a search for Davis, who jumped off the Causeway Bridge, which connects the lake's south and north shores. The Coast Guard said a man in a stolen vehicle jumped into the lake near the middle of the bridge on the northbound side.
