MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — Manchester police say an 85-year-old man was critically injured after being hit by a car at the intersection of Tarrytown Road and Auburn Street in the New Hampshire city.
Police say the man, whose name was not released, was hit at about 5:25 p.m. Friday by a car driven by a 51-year-old Manchester man.
The victim was taken to Elliot Hospital and then flown to Boston for treatment of his injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
