Chuck Wells is publisher of the Daily Journal Newspaper.
Chuck started his newspaper career in Franklin and became very familiar with the market, the Journal's advertising customers and readers. Now he returns as group publisher for both the Daily Journal and The Republic, which will allow us to take better advantage of synergies between the two publications. Wells, 37, is publisher of the The Republic, and will continue in that role, managing both newspapers, their Web sites, special publications, magazines and other products.
Wells has extensive experience at the Daily Journal and in the Franklin, Greenwood, Center Grove and southside Indianapolis markets.
The Butler University graduate joined Home News Enterprises in 1998, serving in several advertising department management roles at the Daily Journal.
He was sales manager in the Daily Journal commercial printing, classified advertising and outside sales divisions before being named advertising director.
He was promoted to advertising director of The Republic in Columbus in January 2006 and to publisher of The Republic in July 2007.
Wells and his wife, Suzanne, have a daughter, Savannah.
