Eldon Denton “Eddie” Jewell Jr., 53, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene (Ramsey) Jewell of Franklin; his mother, Hilda R. (Barclay) Wilhite of Columbus; five children, Tosha Ramsey, Nina Jewell, Jamie Jewell and Eldon D. Jewell III, all of Franklin, and Pamela Jewell of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Ann Hyatt of Indianapolis, Pamela Ramsey of Whiteland and Cheryl Willard of Franklin; three brothers, Gene Jewell of Indianapolis, Sonny Wilhite of Columbus and Glenn Wilhite Jr. of Franklin; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon D. Jewell Sr.; and a sister, Rebecca Carr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Youngs Creek Cemetery south of Franklin.
