James Henry Jones, 87, died June 11, 2012, in Avon. He was a resident of Avon and a former resident of Carmel.
Survivors include his two daughters, Deborah L. (Larry) Watson of Avon and Pamela J. (Eugene Dean) Hicks of Whiteland; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn J. (Hood) Jones; a son, J. Richard Jones; his parents, William Jones and Beatrice (Hayden) Sullivan; and a sister, Dorothy Jones Creveling.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 8600 N. College Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday in the church parlor.
