Kenneth E. Logsdon
Kenneth E. Logsdon, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. He was a resident of Shelbyville.
He was born May 5, 1939, in Franklin, to the late Virgil G. and Lucy Jane (Reynolds) Logsdon. He married Bette (Camden) Logsdon in 1963. She preceded him in death Nov. 25, 2000.
Survivors include his children, Dennis (Rhonda) Logsdon and Kevin (Jill Schneider, fiancee) Logsdon, both of Waldron, Tammi (Stanley) Hamby of Shirley, Lori (Doug) Cox of Franklin, Judy (Todd Lanier, fiance) Buster of Greenwood and Robert Logsdon and Karen (Thomas) Fisher, both of Shelbyville; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Edna) Logsdon of Providence and Noah (Gay) Logsdon of Franklin; and two sisters, Zelma Faye Chappelow of New Whiteland and Bernice Brown of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a great-granddaughter, Lillian Nicole Logsdon; and two brothers-in-law.
He worked for more than 30 years at Knauf Fiber Glass. He was a member of Franklin Church of Christ.
Kenneth loved working crossword puzzles, collecting cars and trucks, NASCAR and his dogs, Tiny Tot and Bandit. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
The Rev. Dan Chappelow will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Second Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
