Damon L. Blair, 68, passed to be with the Lord at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at his Edinburgh home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 18, 1945, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to Paul Cecil Blair and Beatrice (Waddell) Blair.
He married Shannon (Bennett) Blair on Dec. 16, 2001; and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Tony (Kim) Blair of Edinburgh; daughters, Robin (Aundra) Angle of Whiteland and Tess Jones of Franklin; a stepson, Travis G. (Christian) Fogle of Shelbyville; a stepdaughter, Tina (Darrell) Nusabumer of Shelbyville; a brother, Chuck (Ann) Blair of Tierra Verde, Florida; a sister, Barbara Blair of Edinburgh; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Blair was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church and a retired employee of the town of Edinburgh.
He enjoyed singing the gospel, spreading the word of the Lord, and working on a local farm driving tractors with all types of equipment.
Funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Calling will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice, in care of Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.
