Todd Douglas Welty
Todd Douglas Welty, 49, of Boggstown, went to be with his Savior on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at 8:49 p.m.
He was born Jan. 30, 1965, at Johnson Memorial Hospital to Richard Lee Welty and the late Caroline Taylor Welty.
Todd was a lifelong member of Rocklane Christian Church and served faithfully in the community.
He was a lifelong hog and grain farmer, living in the house he grew up in. Todd was a Pioneer Seed sales representative.
He also served as a school board member of Northwestern Consolidated School Corp.
Todd was a loving husband to Tracey Chandler Welty and fantastic father to Jordan Marie, Faith Ellen, Shelden Leigh and Grant Chandler Welty. Other survivors include his grandmother, Evelyn Welty; stepmother, Marlene Welty; sister-in-law, Shelle Rigdon Welty; sister, Sara Welty Robards (Greg), brother, Keith Welty (Valerie); three stepsiblings, Lori Robards Bowman, Gary Robards (Marla) and Beth Robards Tharpe (Tommy); as well as one aunt, Marianne Berlin (Robert) and one uncle, Thomas Taylor (Brenda); four cousins; 16 nieces and nephews; among many beloved close friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Lucille Taylor, grandfather, Delmas A. Welty; mother, Caroline Taylor Welty; and brother, David Lee Welty.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Rocklane Christian Church, 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Todd will be laid to rest at Rocklane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Triton Central FFA.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Triton Central Fieldhouse.
Arrangements were entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory.
