Steve Dragoo, beloved husband, uncle and friend to so many, passed away Aug. 4, 2014, at the age of 73 at his home in Seneca, South Carolina.
He was the son of the late Lyman and Ruth Dragoo and is survived by his wife, Sue; nephews, Gary Dragoo (Karen) and Greg Dragoo (Teresa); and niece, Susie Dragoo.
He was predeceased by his brother, Dave (Betty).
Steve was born in Indianapolis and grew up in Franklin.
He and his wife retired to their Lake Keowee home in Seneca, South Carolina, a year ago, relocating from Naperville, Illinois.
He served his country as a medic in the U.S. Air Force and as a deputy sheriff for Platte County, Missouri, achieving the rank of sergeant.
Steve worked as a construction project manager, developing land and building homes in Indiana, Illinois and Florida, retiring from Lennar Corp.
He enjoyed music and being a ham radio operator.
Steve was a man who was loved and respected by many, and his loss is felt deeply by his family and friends.
