Race W. Huston
Race W. Huston, 45, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at his Franklin home.
He was born Jan. 15, 1969, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Raymond Ford Huston and surviving Janice M. (Cripe) Reed.
Race lived in Franklin for the past eight years and formerly lived in Fairmount. He was a graduate of Topeka West High School in Topeka, Kansas. He then received his machine tool certification at Ivy Tech Community College and attended culinary school. He was a CNC machinist, formerly working at Precision Rings in Indianapolis. Race formerly attended Fairmount Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Tracie Huston of Franklin; mother and stepfather, Janice M. and Robert E. Reed of rural Frankfort; son, Ryan Ford Huston of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Chelsea (Michael) Roberson of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Madison Huston of Franklin and Kirstie Wise of Largo, Florida; sister, Kimberly K. (Kevin) Fox of Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepbrother, William R. (Carrie) Reed of Blue Springs, Missouri; stepsister, Kimberly A. Gross of Topeka, Kansas; niece and nephew, Tasha Guerrero of Greeley, Colorado, and Jason (Ashley) Guerrero of Greeley, Colorado; and a granddaughter, Lilyth Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Archer-Weston Chapel, 501 E. Clinton St. Frankfort. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
