Harold L. Canada
Harold L. Canada, 83, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.
He was born Oct. 31, 1930, to the late Theodore L. and Doris M. Canada.
Harold was employed as a tool and die maker and also owned and operated G&H Wire.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Harold was a member of Greenwood Bible Baptist and also attended Berean Baptist Church.
Harold is survived by his wife, Gladys M. (Clouse) Canada; daughter, Sharon Canada Murphy; sons, Carlos (Patricia) Canada of Costa Rica, and Steven Canada and Bradley Canada, both of Florida; stepson, Ronald (Janie) Suits; stepdaughters, Deborah (Larry) Kee and Tamara (Greg) Higgens; sister, Shirley Miller; brothers, Gerald (Della) Canada, Douglas (Mona) Canada and Robert (Anna) Canada, both of Las Vegas, John David (Pat) Canada and Mark (Ruth) Canada of California; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in passing by a sister, Barbara Patton; and brothers, Ronald and Eugene Canada.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Entombment will be at Forrest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
