Gwen Sue Henderson, 67, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at her residence in Franklin.
She was born March 19, 1947, in DeRidder, Louisiana, to James H. and Marjorie (Hoffpauir) Heard.
She married Ronald Allen Henderson on Dec. 11, 1982; and he survives in Franklin.
Gwen also is survived by her children, Richard Jeffrey (Stacy) Gillen, Richard Michael “Micky” Gillen and Britt Cianne (Neal) Garner; grandchildren, Michael Jeffrey Gillen, Ian Taylor Gillen, Hunter Cianne Cave, Luke Valentine Gillen, Eli Payne Gillen and Lochlan Olivia Gillen; one sister, Barbara (Sam) Watkins; and one brother, Jim (Dianne) Heard.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; a sister, Bernice Credor; a son, Todd Gillen; and a granddaughter, Hadleigh Cave.
Gwen graduated from Wheelus High School in Tripoli, Libya, in North Africa.
She was a loving mom and grandmother who enjoyed having the children around.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening. Gwen enjoyed boating and camping with friends and family at Lake Lemon.
A service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Acton Cemetery.
