Harry R. Miller, 87, of Edinburgh, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Manor Care South in Indianapolis.
Born Aug. 13, 1926, in Bartholomew County, he was the son of Charles G. and Violet (Royse) Miller.
He is survived by two granddaughters, Jo Ann Jefferson of Cantonment, Florida, and Debra Jefferson of San Antonio; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Justin Garcia of San Antonio; and niece, Sharyn Polesel of Whiteland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Ann Rinn; sons, Michael and James Miller; brother, Robert Miller; and companion, Norma Burton.
He was a 1944 graduate of Edinburgh High School in Edinburgh. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Edinburgh American Legion Post 233, Nineveh Masonic Lodge 317 and a member of the former Edinburgh VFW. He retired as a maintenance employee of Culberson County Independent School District in Van Horn, Texas.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Edinburgh American Legion Post 233.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
