Frances Irene Glassburn
Frances Irene Glassburn, 95, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at her residence in Amity.
She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Franklin to James and Edna (Smith) Brown.
Frances is survived by two sons, Larry (Judy) Glassburn and Stephen “Smoky” (Mary) Glassburn; grandchildren, Larry Glassburn, Lisa (David) Lucid, David Glassburn, Scott Glassburn, Dawn (Forrest) Ankrom and Sean Devero; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Heidi) Burton, Caleb Lucid, Adam Lucid, Ted Ankrom and Levi Ankrom; great-great-grandchildren, Briceton Gilbert, Aubree Burton and one on the way; and one sister, Mary Jane Ketron.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; sister, Helen Pickering; brother, James Brown; and one granddaughter, Kathleen Glassburn.
Frances was the first motor route carrier for the Franklin Evening Star in the Bargersville, Providence and Banta areas. She also sold Avon products for several years in the Franklin area.
She was a longtime member of Shiloh Community Church in Franklin.
A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
