Dr. Charles William Link Jr., 80, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014.
He was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Rockport, to Charles William Link Sr. and Norma (Franzman) Link, who predecease him.
Charles met his wife, Linda Zopf, on a blind date while she was studying to be a nurse and he was studying to be a doctor. Charles and Linda married Aug. 11, 1957. Charles and Linda and Joe and Betty were close friends for the remainder of their lives. Later, Dr. Charles Richert joined the practice and continues it today.
Charles loved his family. While he was a great father to his three children, his true calling was being a grandfather. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren and proudly attended countless sports and music events. He leaves many happy memories.
