Lotta ‘Irene’ Steward
Lotta “Irene” Steward, 81, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Greenwood Health and Living in Greenwood. She was a former resident of Cordry-Sweetwater Lakes.
She was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Marion, Kentucky, to Herbert R. Wilson and Emily (Hendren) Wilson Whitler.
She married William A. Steward on Feb. 24, 1951, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in passing on Feb. 16, 1986.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda I., and son-in-law, Steve Schaefer, of Morgan Hill,
California; granddaughter, Kelly Schaefer, and grandson, Cary Schaefer, both of Morgan Hill, California; great-granddaughter, Kristian Schaefer of Morgan Hill, California; and a brother, Harry Wilson of Indianapolis.
She also was preceded in passing by her sisters, Christine Kieninger, Eva Kieninger and Margaret McNeeley; and brothers, Robert Wilson, Charles Wilson, Luther Wilson andKenneth Wilson.
Irene attended Manual High School in Indianapolis.
She was a homemaker.
Irene attended the Church of the Lakes in Nineveh.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hall.
