Mary Catherine Weatherholt, 85, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. She was a former resident of Marion.
She was born March 22, 1929, in Fairmount. She was the daughter of Ernest R. Loy.
She married Robert W. Weatherholt on Nov. 16, 1946. He preceded her in passing in 2008.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheron Miller (Jerry) of Franklin; a brother, David Loy (Karen) of Canton, Ohio; grandson, Adrian Grimm (Jessica) of Massillon, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Cameron and Chase.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Nisha Grimm; and a brother, Jerry Loy.
Mary was a graduate of Marion High School, class of 1947.
She was employed as an independent travel agent in Marion, retiring in 1995.
She later worked as a volunteer in the gift shop of the Indiana Masonic Home. Mary was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star in Mississinewa, Chapter 94. She served as the worthy matron from 1962 to 1965 and as secretary for 17 years.
The Rev. Charles Stanley will conduct a memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ransford Chapel at the Indiana Masonic Home, 690 S. State St., Franklin. Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
