Brian N. Marshall, 50, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Manor Care in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Southport and a former resident of Bargersville.
He was born Dec. 3, 1963, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to Winston Stanley Marshall and Doris Mae (Snyder) Marshall. He was a 1982 graduate of Center Grove High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Indiana State University and master’s degree in radio, television and film from the University of Kansas.
Brian had been an evaluator for McGraw-Hill in Indianapolis for 12 years. He enjoyed collecting 45 RPM records, music and being a film critic. He was an avid fan of old shows such as “Laurel and Hardy,” “The Three Stooges” and “Betty Boop.”
Survivors include his brothers, Keith R. Marshall of Indianapolis and John D. Marshall (Martha) of Indianapolis; a nephew, Seth R. Marshall of Indianapolis; three nieces, Sarabeth A. Marshall of Broad Ripple (Indianapolis), Lucie M. Marshall of Indianapolis and Michelle L. Marshall of Indianapolis; aunts and uncles, Stephen and Patty Marshall of Nashville, Tennessee, Walt and Ruby Thome of Holland, Michigan, and Gerald Snyder of Bicknell; many cousins; and his dog, Chance.
The Rev. Max Colver will conduct a service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. until service time Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
