Connie Dale Burton
Connie Dale Burton, 62, of Franklin, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at Community Hospital South.
He was born April 14, 1952, in Franklin, a son of Paul Burton and Ina Ruth (Rooks) Burton.
He is survived by a son, Zachary Burton of Westfield; a daughter, Lindsey (Daniel) Tinkle of Whiteland; sisters, Angela (Alan) Bowers of Huntington, Sheila (Brad) Cunningham of Franklin and Cynthia Pool of Greenwood; grandmother, Lenora Rooks of Louisville, Kentucky; one nephew and eight nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ricky Vaughn Burton.
He was a 1970 graduate of Edinburgh High School and was an outstanding athlete.
He was formerly part-owner of Amos Hill from 1982 to 2000. He worked at David R. Webb from 2000 to 2009.
He enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music and playing golf.
The Rev. Lewis Burton will officiate a service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh. Calling will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
