Albert D. Eck, 92, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born on Oct. 21, 1921, in New York City to Henry and Octavia (Tschupp) Eck. He married Wilma Wooters on March 3, 1945. She lovingly survives.
Other survivors include his daughter Jo Jurgensen of Franklin; son, Michael Eck (Meg) of Trafalgar; sister, Theresa Morrissey of Ocala, Florida; granddaughters, Sadie Eck (Ryan Ellis) of Franklin and Courtney Eck of Michigan City.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and sister, Eleanor Rued.
Albert was a U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard veteran having served from 1943 to 1981. He retired senior master sergeant with numerous military awards and recognitions.
He was the postmaster at Moweaqua, Illinois, from 1971 until his retirement in 1983.
Albert was a charter member of the Atterbury Model Airplane Club.
Services will be private. Inurnment will be in Moweaqua, Illinois, at a later date.
Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is handling arrangements.
