Otheda L. Perkins, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014.
She was born April 26, 1930, in Sumner County, Tennessee, to the late Forrest F. and Ovie Simpson Langford.
Otheda was married to George Perkins, who passed away June 10, 1969.
She was employed for 30 years as a supervisor at Teledyne National, retiring in 1992. Earlier, she worked in the accounting department at Progress Laundry.
Otheda was a member of Garfield Heights Church of Christ.
Otheda’s survivors include a daughter, Judy Smith of Indianapolis; stepdaughter, Linda Perkins of Roy, Utah; brother, Forrest F. (Shirley) Langford of Greenwood; sister, Marie Williams of Hendersville, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Otheda also was preceded in passing by a stepdaughter, Nita Pruett; brother, Rudolph Langford; and sisters, Juanita Langford and Gerry Mosley.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Magnolia Presbyterian Cemetery in Magnolia, Kentucky.
