Larry Joe Blaker, 59, of Coal City, passed away Friday June 20, 2014, at IU Health in Bloomington.

Born Aug, 2, 1954, in Linton, he was the son of Merl and Lorene (Hill) Blaker.

Larry worked for Arvin Auto in Franklin for 32 years; he loved fishing, hunting and camping.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Connie Blaker of Coal City; his two sons, Jeremy Blaker of Greenwood, Jason Blaker of Franklin; two stepsons, William Akers of Greencastle and Richard Arnold of Coal City; one stepdaughter, Audrey “Gayle” Clark of Bargersville; three sisters, Karen Luttrell of North Vernon, Janet Callon of Edinburgh and Marsha Hodson of Franklin; one brother, Dean Blaker of Franklin; and

nine grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and from

1 p.m. Wednesday until the hour of service at the church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walnut Grove Church of God in Bloomfield with Ted Blaker officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
