Norma L. Grube, 92, Clinton, previously of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014.
She was born May 15, 1922, in Indianapolis to Frank B. and Mable Browning Wicker. Norma was a 1940 graduate of Southport High School.
Norma married Ernest H. (Pete) Grube on Dec. 21, 1940. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Norma also was an avid traveler, always seeking out historically unique locations to visit. She had a special love for lighthouses, visiting most located within the United States.
She was a 54-year member of the Perrywinkle Homemakers Club. The club enjoyed traveling together and a lot of card games.
Norma was preceded in passing by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Lohkamp; son, Ernest (Ernie) Grube; grandson, Cary Michael Grube; and two sisters, Marion Bunte and Freda Scalf.
Norma’s survivors include a son, Michael (Kathryn) Grube, of Newport,; daughter-in-law, Julie (John) Morand, Whiteland; son-in-law, Carl Lohkamp, Bloomfield; brother, Frank N. Wicker, Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Susan Grube, Las Vegas, Cindy (Carlo) Mandolini, Perrysville, Laura (Mike) Gentry, Freedom, Brenda Lohkamp, Bloomfield, Erin Grube, Whiteland, Kelly Grube, Whiteland, Amanda Krutz, Whiteland, and David (Alex) Krutz, Franklin; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and several nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis with visitation from noon until the hour of service Tuesday at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
