Ken E. Slick, 55, of Indianapolis, died Monday, June 9, 2014.
The son of Kenneth E. Slick Sr. and Dianne Flanary Borski, Ken was born Aug. 6, 1958, in Indianapolis.
He was an accountant supervisor in the Department of Environmental Management for the state of Indiana.
Ken loved to travel, especially on trips where he could enjoy walks on the beach. He loved to go to the casino and was the all-around handyman -– “the go-to guy.”
Ken is survived by a son, Ryan E. (Jessica) Slick of Indianapolis; a daughter, Sarah J. Slick (Sebastian Ballinger) of Indianapolis; mother, Dianne Borski of Whiteland; brother, Kevin (Martina) Slick of Indianapolis; sisters, Kimberly (Bruce) Moore of Mooresville, Kellie Campbell and Karrie (Harry) Singh, both of Indianapolis, and Kaylan (Eddy) VanVleet of Franklin; granddaughter, Alyssa Wagner of Indianapolis; and special friends, Randy and Nancy Farrand of Indianapolis.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Sr.; and his stepfather, Daniel Borski.
The Rev. Marie Lang will conduct funeral services at noon Saturday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
