James Ray Mabry
James Ray “Jim” Mabry, 80, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, in Franklin. He was a longtime resident of Morgantown.
He was born on May 21, 1934, to Fred Weaver and Elsie Mae (Curtis) Mabry. He married Patricia Ann (Kinnett) Mabry. She preceded him in death in 1977.
Jim is survived by one son, Tracy Mabry of Morgantown; one daughter, Trella (Doug) Stahl of Franklin; and three grandsons, Jonathan Stahl, Kevin Stahl and Trent Mabry.
He also was preceded in passing by his parents.
He was a graduate of Union High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a self-employed farmer. Jim was a security guard for Uniroyal in Indianapolis for many years. Later he worked as a security guard at Community Hospital South and as a delivery driver for Skelgas.
Jim so enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
