Linda S. Oaks-Chew
Linda S. (Stamm) Oaks-Chew, 60, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at her residence in Trafalgar.
She was born Sept. 18, 1953, in Anderson and resided most of her life in Anderson and Trafalgar.
Linda graduated from Anderson High School in 1971.
She worked in the mortgage industry for several years.
Linda is survived by her husband, Owen Chew of Trafalgar; a daughter, Heather Kirby (Josh) of Tennessee; a son, Aaron Oaks (Amy) of Indianapolis; two sisters, Ruth Moto (Bill) and Jean Schaefer, both of Anderson; a brother, Jerry Stamm (Brenda) of Alexandria; her mother, Hazel M. Stamm of Anderson; a half brother, Verl Stamm (Linda) of Anderson; stepchildren, Paul Moore, Jan Manzo and Ann Rose, all of California, Susan Sayne of Oregon and Karen Chew of California; mother-in-law, Francis Chew of California; brothers-in-law, Raymond Chew Jr. and Thomas Chew, both of California; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Stamm Jr.; brother-in-law, Tim Schaefer; nephew, Mike Moto; and her father-in-law, Raymond Chew Sr.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with the Rev. Joe Huff officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
