Esther M. Parsley

Esther M. Parsley, 87, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. She was a resident of Clermont.

She was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Parke County to the late Zora Allen and Mary (Paddock) Norman.

She is survived by seven children, William H. “Bill” Harrison, Larry W. (Gemma) Parsley, Diana S. (Dick) Foster, Nancy E. (Phil) Baxter, Karen J. Petro, Marianna J. Hunt and Jimmy A. (Dawn) Parsley; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold and Eddie Norman; and two sisters, Patsy Farrar and Martha Perkins.

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, William Harrison and James Parsley; two sons, Dale and Danny Parsley; and seven brothers and sisters.

Esther was a member of the Lions Club in Clermont. She enjoyed painting, yard work, growing and painting gourds to take to shows and spending time with her family.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Vandivier-Tudor Chapel, 951 N. Main St., Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Esther will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
