Stanley Alan Hyatt
Stanley Alan Hyatt, 60, passed away peacefully with family by his side Tuesday, May 20, 2014. He was a resident of Indianapolis and a former resident of Whiteland.
He was born Dec. 16, 1953, in South Dakota to G. Russell Hyatt and Peggy Hyatt, who preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Southport High School in 1971 and Lincoln Technical Institute in 1973.
He worked for Detroit Diesel Allison for 25 years before retiring.
He was a member of UAW Local 933.
He loved his family, racing and fishing.
He is survived by his three loving children, Rachel Britton (Chris Johnson), Angela Britton and David Britton (friend Joshua Quick); two sisters, Barbara (Kenneth) King and Marilyn (Tom) Lacey; grandchildren, Lilly Ann, Angel and Michael; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
