Betty Lou Harper
Betty Lou Harper, 62, went home to be with the Lord and her son Ak on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. She was a resident of Edinburgh.
She was born March 9, 1952, to the late Henry Thoma and Betty Mae (Dale) Owens. She married Marty Lee Harper on Feb. 14, 1978. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Christopher Paul Tinney and Jamie Ray (Michelle) Harper, both of Franklin, and Matt Krebbs of Edinburgh; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Lee “Ak” Harper; and a brother, Richard Dale.
She was a graduate of Victory High School in Adamston, West Virginia, and was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church.
She was an employee of Danzer Veneer America in Edinburgh for more than 38 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping, watching cooking shows, dirt track racing and collecting knickknacks.
The Rev. Terry England will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Tabernacle Church, 512 W. Center Cross St., Edinburgh. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from noon until service time Monday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
