Sherill Riley ‘Chuck’ Mosbaugh
Sherill Riley “Chuck” Mosbaugh, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at his residence in Franklin.
He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Indianapolis to Fred and Adah (Baker) Mosbaugh.
He married Gloria Lavona (Smith) Mosbaugh on June 1, 1945. She lovingly survives in Franklin.
Chuck also is survived by two daughters, Carole (Gary) Kutruff of Franklin and Linda (Shim) Waugh of Indianapolis; a son, Rick Mosbaugh of Franklin; three grandchildren, Lisa Stinger, Scott Harter and Dawn Kutruff; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and a sister, Pauline Dannettelle.
He was a graduate of Southport High School. Chuck served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Chuck was employed by Eli Lilly and Co. as a research technician, retiring in the late 1970s.
He was a charter member of New Whiteland Christian Church.
Chuck was a former member of the Southport Masonic Lodge and most recently was a member of Jubilee Masonic Lodge in Whiteland.
He enjoyed square dancing and so enjoyed the times spent in Florida.
There will be no visitation or services.
