Rosemary ‘Rosie’ Lawson
Rosemary “Rosie” Lawson, 62, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Franklin.
She was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Franklin to Clifford and Delphia (Harris) Lawson.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Stacy (Terry) Wethington of Trafalgar and Sharon (Bruce) Powell of Bargersville; grandchildren, Austin and Justin “Jug” Wethington, both of Trafalgar, and Brady Brown and Peyton Powell, both of Bargersville; brothers, Clifford Ray (Ruth) Lawson and Randy (Cindi) Lawson, both of Franklin; a sister, Rhoda (Jerry) Burton of New Whiteland; and nieces and nephews, Jason Lawson, Paige Jones, Brock Willard, Stephanie Cochran, Sarah Burton and Whitney Burton. She also is survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and many cousins.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; and a granddaughter, Madison Brown.
She attended school in Nineveh and at Edinburgh Community High School.
Rosie had worked for Millie’s Depot in Amity, C.J. Rayburn Racing in Whiteland, the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin and T-Shirt Express in Franklin.
She was a member of the Franklin Active Adult Center. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching dirt track racing. Rosie so enjoyed attending and watching her grandkids play in sports.
The Rev. Mike Lawson will conduct a celebration of Rosie’s life at 11 a.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Melissa Dawson for the loving care that she gave to our mother during her stay at Homeview.
