Mildred Gadberry, 75, of Edinburgh, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Homeview Center of Franklin.
She was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Casey County, Kentucky, to the late Robert and Irene (Smith) Henson.
She was married to Kenneth Gadberry for 59 years. He survives.
Other survivors include her daughter, Donna (Roger) Hughes of Franklin; grandchildren, Tyler Gadberry and Summer (Johnny) Fugate; great-grandchildren, Lexus, Nakya and Johnny Fugate Jr.; and siblings, Gary (Nita) Henson and Marcella (Dale) Hines, both of Liberty, Kentucky, John “Joe” (Donna) Henson of Edinburgh and Shirley Clark of Science Hill, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Henson; two sisters, Lucille Richerson and Drucilla Rogers; and a son, Jerry Gadberry.
She attended Trinity Lighthouse in Franklin.
She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing games with her grandchildren, singing blues gospel and volunteering at the Lord’s Locker.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 S. Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh. The Rev. Lewis Burton will officiate. Visitation will
be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
