Laurie A. Griffin
Laurie A. Griffin, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital
She was born Dec. 22, 1962, in Franklin to Leonard E. Griffin Sr. and Bonnie J. (Smith) Griffin.
She was a 1981 graduate of Franklin Community High School.
She was an administrative assistant for the Indianapolis Emergency Medical Service. She previously had been an executive assistant for RQAW Engineering and Architecture in Indianapolis for 20 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Flanagan of Madison; two grandchildren, Dason Helton and Lacie Jean Helton; mother, Bonnie J. (Smith) Griffin of Indianapolis; three brothers, Leonard E. Griffin Jr. of Indianapolis,
Jeff T. Griffin of Franklin and James C. Griffin (Pam) of Alabama; niece, Brittany Griffin of Franklin; and her best friend, Connie Eck of Franklin.
She is also survived by her many work kids at IEMS in Indianapolis which she cared for very much.
A service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, where friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service time at the mortuary Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to in memory of Laurie A. Griffin for a scholarship fund to be established at a later date for the IMES. Checks may be made payable to Nicole Flanagan and mailed to Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) Franklin, IN 46131.
