Ronald Lynn Belton, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 25, 1958, in Beech Grove to Walter Allen Belton and Mary (Gribbins) Belton.
He was a heavy equipment operator for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 103 in Indianapolis for 15 years and had operated heavy machinery all his adult life.
He enjoyed playing poker games with his friends, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce M. (Shockley) Belton of Camby; three sons, Ben Allen Belton (Malary) of Waverly and Ronald Eugene Belton (Rae) and Michael Wayne Belton, both of Indianapolis; his mother, Mary (Gribbins) Belton Edwards, and stepfather, Kenneth Edwards, of Greenwood; a brother, Mark Wayne Belton (Wendy) of Greenwood; and five grandchildren, Case Belton, Connor Belton, Devin Belton, Alivia Belton and Landon Belton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Allen Belton; and a brother, Larry Allen Belton.
The Rev. Marion Glover will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin. Friends may call from noon until service time Thursday at the mortuary.
