Linda C. Turk
Linda C. Turk, 71, of Greenwood, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2014.
Born Nov. 28, 1942, in Indianapolis to the late Horace R. and Lois White, she was a home-maker and an active member and Bible school teacher at Greenwood Church of Christ.
Linda was passionate about bowling, and enjoyed shopping, crocheting, knitting and playing video games.
She volunteered with both ALS and Leukemia organizations.
She will be loved and missed by her three sons, John A. Turk II (Donna), Jason M. Turk (Connie) and Justin N. Turk (Jackie); seven grandchildren; Katrina, Jarod, Kyra, Taiylor, Conan, Josie and Sara; brothers, Donald Horning and Mark White; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Misty.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John A. Turk; and brothers, Thomas Horning and Dennis White.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
