Lois C. (Clayton) Harris
Lois C. (Clayton) Harris, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. She was a resident of New Whiteland.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1931, in Jamestown, Kentucky, to T.C. Clayton and Mayme Clayton Redmon.
She married William “Bill” Harris. He preceded her in passing as well as her parents, and sisters, Audrey Smith and Lynn Hopwood.
Lois is survived by her loving family: siblings, Effie Knapp of Franklin, Gladys Williams of New Whiteland, Larry Redmon of Dupont, Brenda Robling of Greenwood and Connie Simpson of Russell Springs, Kentucky.
She attended school in Kentucky.
Lois was employed by Lucent Technologies in Norcross, Georgia, retiring after more than 30 years of service.
Lois loved to shop, and especially loved spending time with her great-great nephew, Gage Williams and great-great nieces, Alivia Glisson and Demeya Green.
She enjoyed traveling and enjoyed listening to classical music. She was such a giving person, especially passionate in giving to St. Jude’s Hospital.
A family graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood.
