Ewing Franklin Napier, 91, of Greenwood passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014.
He was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Scottsville, Ky., a son of Walter and Beulah Napier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Dean Napier; a son, Jeffrey Napier; a grandson, Gary Franklin Wilson; a great-grandson, Bryce Wilson; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Riggles and Linda Wilson (Danny); a brother, Larry Dean
Napier (Clara Dean); two grandchildren, Greg Wilson and Matthew Riggles; and seven great-grandchildren, Brayton, Brannon and Brynn Wilson, Tyler and Kaitlynn Place, and Isabelle and Noah Riggles.
Ewing served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a machine operator from Allison Transmission Division of General Motors Corp. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, listening to music and singing.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
