Charles Glen Stine
Charles Glen Stine of Trafalgar died Thursday, April 17, 2014. He died peacefully surrounded by family.
He was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Beech Grove to the late Ralph Glen Stine and Gertrude Mae Stine (Wells).
He married Rose Claire Gordon on Feb. 20, 1960, at St. Christopher’s Church in Speedway.
He attended Warren Central and Arsenal Technical high schools.
Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years; five daughters, Kathleen Stine and Brian Skupin, Ann Stine Young, Christine Stine and Daniel Wade, Laura and Tessa Gochtovtt-Stine and Janette Stine Neace; and his sister, Carolyn Sue Sheriff. Also surviving are grandchildren, Wesley and Lillian Young, Olivia and Elizabeth Neace, Fiona and Cyd Gochtovtt-Stine, and Jon and Joe Wade; and a great-granddaughter, Parker Rae Neace.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kay Coulter; and a niece, Jacquette Holmes.
Charles was employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for 42 years, retiring in 2004.
He was in the Marine Corps Reserve.
Charlie was a past member and president of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Merit Board.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. A private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
