Earl Lundy Sr., 79, of Mooresville, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1934, in Pennington Gap, Va., to the late Carl and Annis Lundy.
Earl was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Lundy; and four brothers, Danny, Robert, James and Roy.
He provided for his family by working as a foreman for Automotive Armature in Mooresville for more than 30 years and then worked for Franklin Power Products until his retirement in 1997.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, he was a loving man and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Lundy; his eight children, Earl (Kathryn) Lundy Jr. and Cathy Foley, both of Mooresville, Debbie Sparks of Monrovia, Cindy Lundy and Donna (Gerald) Miller, both of Franklin, Jon (Krystal) Ayres of Lilburn, Ga., Annette (Scott) Lange of Alachua, Fla., and Janelle (Jason) Wilkins of Zanesville, Ohio; four brothers, Cecil (Rita) Lundy, Ervin (Linda) Lundy, Everett (Pat) Lundy and Odell (Neva) Lundy; two sisters, Wanda (Wendall) Lloyd and Anna Mae (Donny) Charles; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 E. High St., Mooresville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
