George H. “Hank” Brown Jr., 63, of Greenwood, and formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014.
Hank was born on Jan. 18, 1951, in Ashland, Ky. He graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1969. He was a member of Columbus Eagles and was a parishioner of St. Matthias Church. Hank retired from CSX Railroad in January of 2014 after 40 years of service.
Survivors include his mother, Audie King; brother, William Brown; sister, Helen Jane (Jerry) Low; special friend, Geri Wells; children, Renee’ Brown, Anthony Brown and Rebecca (Ben) Stansbury; 10 grandchildren and six great-grand children, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, George H. Brown Sr.; stepfather, Thomas King; and sister, Peggy Brown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Vitas Hospice. Many thanks to all the hospice employees for your loving care of our father.
In loving memory of Hank a funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. James the Less, 1652 Oakland Park, Columbus, Ohio. A luncheon will be served immediately after the service.
