Naomi Jean (Phillips) Pollard, 89, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis and a former resident of Greenwood.
Naomi was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Indianapolis to Albert and Catherine (Klein) Phillips.
She was married to Floyd R. Pollard; he preceded her in death.
Naomi retired from civil service as a keypunch operator after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Society of Military Widows.
She enjoyed puzzles, sewing and traveling.
Survivors include four nephews, Roy Bader, Gerald Haller, Dale Haller and Michael Phillips; two nieces, Barbara Bader and Judith Burke; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and several great-great-nephews and great-great--nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, James Phillips; and three sisters, Ruth Kane, Lucille Bader and Frances Haller.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St., Greenwood, IN 46143.
