Ruth Rickleff Crutchfield Malin
Ruth Rickleff Crutchfield Malin, 97, of New Whiteland, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014.
Born Dec. 28, 1916, in Headlee, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lottie (Oberlin) Hirt.
She was a graduate of Pulaski High School with the class of 1934 and earned her associate’s degree in teaching from Manchester College.
She was a member of Apostolic Gospel Church in Franklin
and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include her sons, Steven (Kristi) Rickleff and Phillip Rickleff; a daughter, Janie Packer; a sister, Lois Lister; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lester C. Rickleff; her second husband, Charles Critchfield; her third husband, Clifford T. Malin; two brothers, Paul and Joe Hirt; a sister, Mary Christenberry; and a grandson, Anthony Packer.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Buffalo (Ind.) Cemetery.
