Marie Bristow Bracken, 93, of New Whiteland, died Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.

She was born March 13, 1920, in Morgan County.

She worked for the Southside Tee Pee as a hostess/cashier, where she helped open in 1956 and close in 1978.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Greenwood and White Shrine of Jerusalem and played euchre.

Survivors include a daughter, Laura Davison; a son, Carl Bracken Sr.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Bracken; parents, Carl and Blanch Bristow; brothers, Al, Ralph, Henry, Clyde, and Bruce Bristow; and two grandsons.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at N.F. Chance Funeral and Cremation Service, 504 E. National Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Shrine of Jerusalem Material Objective Fund, in care of the funeral home.
