Barbara K. Robinette
Barbara K. Robinette, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born May 15, 1940, in Pulaski County, Ky., to the late Lando “Tint” and Marie (Farmer) Inabnitt.
She is survived by her children, Garnetta (Jim) Weaver, Paige (Rusty) Ballinger, Tracy (Frank) Downton, Cliff (Rebecca) Robinette and Leslie (Tony) Weiske; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garner L. Robinette.
Barbara retired from Sears, where she worked in retail sales.
Her hobbies were reading, quilting/crafting, gardening, collecting frog figurines and going to garage sales.
Barbara loved attending church services and often spent time volunteering for various groups and church organizations.
Later in life she got involved with senior services, becoming an advocate for senior issues and gave testimony that helped keep Johnson County Senior Services funded to meet the needs of the county.
She was Johnson County 4-H Fair Senior Queen in 2013.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
