David Warren McQueen, 70, of Franklin, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.
He was born in Indianapolis on March 5, 1943, to Clarence Curtis McQueen and Jenoise (Legg) McQueen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carol Peterson; and a granddaughter, Brianna McQueen.
Dave is survived by his wife, Norma (Day) McQueen; a daughter, Denise (Mike) Milano of Twin Lakes, Wis.; a son, Steven (Angie) McQueen of Mooresville; stepdaughter, Debra (Kevin) Cox of Kokomo; stepsons, Paul Richards Jr. of Indianapolis and Tim Richards of Carmel; grandchildren, Alysondra (Bryce) Edwards, Marissa Milano and Tori McQueen; stepgrandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Giles, Joshua Cox, Rachelle Lucas, Derek Lucas and Brenton Richards; great-stepgrandchildren, Amdon Cox, Emily Giles, Hannah Giles, Avery Cox, Jaelynn Lucas and Journey Bain; brother-in-law, Harold “Buddy” (Susie) Day Jr. of Beech Grove; sister-in-law, Judy (Kenny) Kerst of Indianapolis; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; beloved dog, Puddles; and his close friends, Mike and Carol Danz.
Dave worked for Hix Wrecker Service and retired from ISP Capitol Police.
He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, cooking and occasionally watching a football game with his wife.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
