Irene B. Kolthoff
Irene B. Kolthoff, 93, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Homeview Health and Rehab center in Franklin, surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Whiteland.
She was born May 25, 1920, in Indianapolis, to Walter and Beulah (Wagner) Harris.
She married John E. Kolthoff on May 8, 1939. He preceded her in passing on June 2, 1989.
Survivors include her children, John W. (Phyllis) Kolthoff of Whiteland, Larry (Shirlee) Kolthoff of Indianapolis, Jack (Linda) Kolthoff of Bargersville and Debbie (Anthony) Hart of Franklin; grandchildren, Kim Kolthoff, Kay Kolthoff, Dawn (Kevin) Stewart, Troy (Shelly) Kolthoff, Clint (Sara) Kolthoff and Josh Hart (Cate); great-grandchildren, Madison Kolthoff, Luke Kolthoff, Jackie Stewart, Monica Stewart, Lillian Kolthoff, Mikey Hart and Josie Hart; and a nephew Delford Dunn (Moreen).
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband; a brother, Bud Harris; and a sister, Catherine Dunn.
Irene was a graduate of Clark schools.
She was employed by the Franklin United Methodist Community as a QMA before her retirement. She also provided private care for the elderly.
Irene was a member of New Whiteland Christian Church and a 50-plus year member of Greenwood Order of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
The Rev. Ron Ellis will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
