Ernest Huber Jr.

Ernest Huber Jr., 83, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. He was a resident of of Indianapolis.

He was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Indianapolis to the late Ernest and Claira (Grever) Huber. He also was preceded in death by his stepmother, Marie Huber.

Ernest married Mary L. (Clark) Huber on Dec. 28, 1951, in Columbus; and she survives.

He also is survived by a son, Ernest E. (Paula) Huber of Franklin; a daughter, Tina (Richard) Feola of Muncie; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Betty (Clarence) Golden, Bernice (Richard) Deutsch and Anna Marie (Dean) Rothwell, all of Indianapolis, Sue Ellen (Charles) Dowell of Greenwood and Helen (Robert) Ford of Indianapolis.

He was a self-employed carpenter for more than 60 years, operating Huber Construction, retiring in 1986.

He was a 50-year member of Southport Lodge No. 270 F&AM and Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the mortuary. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.

Memorial gifts have been suggested to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
