Linda M. Branscum
Linda M. Branscum, 69, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 23, 1945, in Coopersville, Ky., to Alfred and Ora (Bell) Hill.
She married Charles H. Branscum on Aug. 10, 1963, in Monticello, Ky.; he survives.
Linda was a production worker for Arvin Automotive in Franklin from 1974 to 1986. She did upholstery from 1980 to 2005.
She loved collecting Boyds Bears and Longaberger baskets.
She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild and shopping weekly with her sister, the late Phyllis Burke.
Survivors include her husband, Charles H. Branscum of Franklin; a daughter, Lisa D. (Buddy) Drybread of Franklin; two sons, Anthony (Becky) Branscum of Trafalgar and Duane Branscum of Franklin; five grandchildren, Kirby (Sara) Cochran Jr. and Dylan Drybread, both of Franklin, and Brittney (Marty) Reynolds, Tyler Branscum and Hannah Branscum, all of Trafalgar; one great-grandson, Keigan Cochran of Franklin; and a sister, Joan (Arthur) Vaughn of Stearns, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Phyllis Burke; a brother, Jim Hill; and a half brother, Beecher Hill.
The Rev. Tom Knight will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Monday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. Morton St. (U.S. 31 South) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
