Ernest Earl Jasper
Ernest Earl “Ernie” Jasper, 46, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born Nov. 27, 1967, in Franklin, to M.C. and Ruby Jewell (Bray) Jasper. He married Penny O’Sullivan on Sept. 6, 1994. She lovingly survives.
Other survivors include children, Angela Jasper, Shelby Jasper (Zech Lorance), Dustin Jasper (Haley Wells), Christy Basso, David Basso, Danny Scott Jr., Dustin Gray and Josh Jasper; siblings, Mary Reed (Dub), Betty Jean Jasper, Wade C. Jasper (Carolyn), Jerry Jasper (Kathy), Randall Jasper (Misty), Tonia Bowling (Robbie) and Daylin Jasper; and grandchildren, Skyler, Raylynn, Bryson, Jasper, Will, Leland, Aiden, Daylin, Braylon, Aubrey and Macklin.
He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Ernie was a graduate of Indian Creek High School, class of 1987.
He was employed by Prairie Materials in Indianapolis as a maintenance man.
Ernie’s world revolved around spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a Chevrolet fan and often was called the “Chevy Man.” He also enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars.
The Rev. John Young will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Monday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
