Richard F. Massey, 66, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. He was a resident of Franklin.
He was born on July 29, 1947 in Franklin to Marion Lee and Beulah Mae (Mann) Massey. He married Tina Ashman on March 12, 1977. She lovingly survives.
Other survivors include his son, Leon Skinner (Angie) of Greenwood; sister, Linda Sue Massey of Shelbyville; and grandson, Alex Skinner.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and brother, Marion Lee Massey Jr.
Richard was a graduate of Nineveh High School, class of 1965.
He was employed at Sonoco Flexible Packaging for 40 years before retiring in 2006.
Richard enjoyed collecting guns, going to gun shows and going to flea markets.
The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
